Join us for a discussion with Julie Hawkins, Deputy Compact Administrator at the Interstate Commission for Juveniles (juvenilecompact.org), on the Interstate Compact for Juveniles agreement. The Interstate Compact for Juveniles is the agreement between all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S Virgin Islands that regulates the movement of adjudicated juveniles across state lines and provides procedural means to manage the return of runaways, escapees, absconders, and juveniles charged delinquent. Julie will discuss the purpose of the compact, review the rules promulgated and adopted by the full commission, and discuss when and how court service staff can request ICJ services.
